Pre-Vetting / Vetting & CDI Attendance

The impact vetting has on out-charter business is not always recognized in the strategic operational and commercial management of tankers. The primary objective of the charterer's vetting function is to accurately assess, through their vetting process, the quality of the operator and the vessel being offered or, put another way, the risk to their own business of using a third party ship. By directing their business to quality operators, they can also minimize their transportation risk. We, at Post & Sea Expert understand the scenario and have worked out a model plan on vetting to assist the quality operators .

Pre-vetting

We place our representative who are experienced Master Mariner with oil tanker experience onboard vessel prior the vetting to prepare vessel & ship staff as per the Latest SIRE VIQ and oil major requirements. A pre-vetting inspection is carried out and report of observations raised along with the suggestion of closeout, presented to the Owners/Managers for there perusal. A risk assessment module prepared in-house is used for this pre-vetting assessment of the vessel and we recommend the Owners/Managers to go ahead with the vetting inspection only after the vessel has fared well in our pre-vetting assessment.

During & Post vetting :

After all observations raised internally have been closed and our assessment module shows a Green Flag we further assist the Master and Ship staff on the day of vetting to ensure the inspection goes on smoothly.

After the vetting our Representative carries out a training for the closures of observations raised by the Oil Major Inspector if any and the final closure report is submitted to Owners/Managers for their perusal.

Closures of the observation raised will be uploaded in the website after the report has been released in their site by oil majors if required by Owners/Managers. Experience in dealing Vetting Offices at BP, Shell, Chevron, Exxonmobil, P66, Conocophilips , Koch, Statoil, BHP, Luke Oil, Idemitsu, Petronas etc gives us an advantage of understanding the requirements of each oil major

We maintain the all reports in a specialised online Software where Operators have full access to all Inspection results and trend analysis , KPI Monitoring and Full Management review can be completed We place our representative who are experienced Master Mariner with oil tanker experience onboard vessel prior the vetting to prepare vessel & ship staff as per the Latest SIRE VIQ and oil major requirements.
